Santa Cruz Trek
Day 1, fly into Lima and crash at a hotel
Day 2, rent a car and drive to Huaraz. We stayed at the Casa de Zeo, which was amazing.
Day 3, altitude adjustment day. We took a 2 hour afternoon hike and drank a lot of coca tea.
Day 4, provisioning, transit to trail head and stay at a mountain BnB
Days 5-8, hike the trek. We didn’t take advantage, but there are mules and guides available to haul your shit, set up camp, cook for you, etc.
Day 9, transit to a super cushy BnB back near where we parked
Days 10-12 transit back to Lima and eat ceviche. Seriously the food in Lima is incredible. El Mercado is almost worth its own trip.
