Day 1

Breakfast | walk (45 min) or uber to Satsuma cafe in the bywater. You'll go through the Marigny / Bywater and you can grab a very good coffee at The Orange Couch on the way.

On your way to FQF | wander the neighborhood, maybe grab a post meal drink or two at The Country Club (you can swim here too if you want) and when you're ready to leave get a to-go drink and walk over the rusty rainbow to check out crescent park and walk back towards the French Quarter for FQF. The FQ will be a mob scene but fun – you can sneak into Cane and Table for more drinks, or something more casual at Cosimo's. You'll likely want to grab food from the vendors on this day as Sat and Sun will be more crowded, and there's too much good food in nola to eat more than one lunch via vendors.

Dinner | Go uptown - Uber or Streetcar (delightful but slow and unreliable - also, something like $1.50/rider) to Jacque Imo's. You will likely have to wait but get a drink at the bar and hangout in front of the spot, or check out Frenchy's art gallery across the st. If you're really hungry you can order fried chicken a la carte at the bar (an old local trick)

After Dinner | pay 10 dollars next door at maple leaf and see whatever awesome band is playing that night.

Day 2

Breakfast | Go to Cake Cafe (my favorite) before FQF. Eat a big breakfast and plan on having a late lunch. Again, don't waste another precious meal waiting in lines at FQF.

Lunch | Have a late lunch at the BEST fried chicken in the world at Willie Mae's. You will likely be waiting in line there so maybe bring a 6-pack or something cold and refreshing to keep you occupied.

Dinner & After| Peche reigns supreme as my favorite NOLA seafood. A little bit upscale but not fancy. No chance you can still get a reservation but go and plan to have a few drinks around the bar and as soon as two spots at the bar open up snatch them. After dinner, head to Buffa's (near your air bnb) and watch some music in the back – set starts at 9 and try and get there by 9 if possible as it's a small spot.

Day 3

Breakfast | If you are still planning to do the FQF thing, head to Willa Jean. If you're more interested in seeing other parts of the city, head to Atchafalaya. Do the FQF thing if that's the plan or if you end up going to Atchafalaya just walk up Magazine towards downtown.

Lunch | If you do FQF plan to lunch at Cochon Butcher. If you do Atachafalaya plan to eat lunch at Turkey and the Wolf or Stein's Deli. You can walk back through the French Quarter and I imagine you'll want to stop back at your spot at some point, but if you need a drink to help you get there head to Bar Tonique for the best sazerac and some solid cocktails.

After dinner | You'll want something a little less butter-forward at this point. If you don't mind heading to Lily's Vietnamese. if you're still feeling good, you can go to the slightly touristy area call Fenchmen to see some music or the younger more hipster neighborhood st. roch to checkout music at HiHo or karaoke at Kajun's

Day 4

Breakfast | You can grab some beignets and coffee at Morning Call which is in city park and close to the sculpture garden and just a cool place to walk around that will be a welcomed retreat from the more tourist heavy areas.

Lunch & After | best po-boy's are close by bayou st john at Parkway Bakery and  You could walk back to the CBD on the Lafitte Greenway but you might be ready for an uber. From here, rest up for a big night.

After Lunch | From here you can head back to FQF... or if you're over it you can go get great beer and/or wine at Bayou Beer Garden or maybe check out the CAC or The Ogden
